Demo Release + musings

The demo for my game is out now! Please, try it and let me know what you think! 

4 months ago I created "The Tale of the Past" as, mostly, a test. I wanted to try out RPGmaker and see what kind of engine it was. Surprisingly, it was really fun. I enjoyed my time in creating that short project. 
After I published it and got a 2 star review, it really made me reflect. "Was it really that bad?" in short: yes. It was pretty terrible. It used all of the basic rpgmaker assets in a clumsy way, as a beginner does. Even now, after I remade the whole game in my own way, there are still beginner mistakes. 
But I think that's the charm of it! Everything I made for TTotP is someone I created, with my own two hands. It feels much better then to use something already made my the engine. You can surely create something amazing with default assets, don't get me wrong. But I feel like I got something more more valuable from creating everything myself. 

In short: It was just really fun! I hope the joy I had making this short demo can shine through in the game. I hope a lot of people can enjoy it, give me feedback, maybe even dislike it too. This time, I wont get mad. Because I believe I did it in the best way I could. 
It took roughly 4 months for a 15 minute demo, it's a little shocking. I feel like it would be longer. But It's alright, I'm still very pleased with the final product. 

To whoever is interested, I am unsure when the full game will come out. I will continue working hard on it. The full game will have 3 areas, with custom music and the likes. Please look forward to exploring the glass desert and the mirror world!
